A hallmark of authoritarian regimes is the intense internal rivalry amongst cliques. All vow to please Trump and each of his subordinates will have contempt for each other.

I think what will be a challenge is to right size the competence of the elements within the Trump regime. If someone is too successful, someone else will look to upstage them. Apprentice on a national scale.
