I guess we'll see what happens, but my understanding is the Flyers believe that Kolosov will indeed report to Lehigh Valley. That's backed up by what Briere said publicly yesterday as well.

The problem is the kid needs to play and he’s getting exposed badly when he does at the NHL level. That’s not necessarily a bad thing considering the gap in talent between where he’s been and now
I’m not even discouraged by his play, because you can see the athletic abilities. He’s got a ton of talent it’s just a matter of adjusting to the tier he’s playing in
For sure. I was kind of hoping he was going to be the guy because I can see it with him. It’s utterly absurd how the goalie chaos never ends with this team. Let’s hope they’re on the right track. A healthy Ersson has me optimistic.
I prefer Ersson for 2 reasons:
1. I think he's better mentally and technically
2. I don't want a goalie like Kolosov who makes 5 saves he shouldn't and lets in 1 he shouldn't. Too unpredictable. Give me good, dependable, normal guy Sam. Plus I want a guy from the Price school not the Bobrovsky one.
I'd also add, as far as athletic, under-sized goalies go. I couldn't get a read on Kolosov's ability. Too much of a mess. Like Fedotov he has a lot of discipline issues. Made a few impressive ones, but I didn't think he was as god as billed a year ago, no.
The crazy part of that is for once you think all goalie ills have been cured and he turns out to be a sexual predator. Hollywood can’t write this shit.
It’s a big jump from the KHL to the NHL, plus the Flyers aren’t always the greatest defensive team. It’s growing pains. But he’s got a lot of athleticism & potential. He’s just gotta refine things. IDK if he’s better than Ersson or Fedotov, but he’s just started.
I think this all got overblown for weeks and they just had him hanging around until 1. Ersson proved he could stay healthy and 2. Fedotov won the BUG job. Took half the season to settle them both. They said as much.
You would hope the team around Kolosov would tell this kid he needs to be on the ice. And he drops the arrogance and becomes what he can be before the other prospects pass him.

Now we'll get a chance to really see what he's about mentally
He’ll be back here next season. Fedotov? Doubt he’s in the future plans.
