I had the opposite happen a couple of years ago. I passed out at work and ended up in the ER. When my wife called me because I hadn’t come home yet, I told her I was in the ER and she thought I was working.

Because if she is at the hospital she is normally with you, it should be alarming because you save lives. It might not bother you as much if she was at the fire station, but you would say wtf instead..

I don't even know you... except thru whatever kind of knowing one has via social media, & even I know that you being at the hospital means you're at work. 😀. But then again, maybe to a mother the words "at the hospital" coming from a child's mouth, will always cause initial alarm. Glad you ARE ok.

I can usually get my mom with “I’m in the ER”, despite me rolling on into year 27 of being in fire/EMS/emergency nursing. 😂😂
