I broke down crying today while telling my mom the administration canceled milk testing and other food safety inspections.
I want my children to be able to eat food that isn’t contaminated.
Pretty low bar for a country that’s not even willing to insure children aren’t gunned down at school.

How would grocery store chains conduct the food safety testing that the FDA has done up until now, even for a single product like dairy? There’s an entire dairy aisle at grocery stores before you get to the ice cream section, etc. No doubt milk producers do, but that’s the honor system now.

And Boar’s Head is a perfect example of a higher cost point brand failing at its own internal inspections and quality control that wasn’t caught before it had caused significant illness because of decreased testing and regulations put in place under the last Trump administration.

Only 90 days in , can’t imagine 3.5+ more years of this. The country is coming alive in opposition to this however. Endless court cases that trump is largely losing.Still, all the medical research grants being cut are probably one of the most devastating things 😢

I just can’t see it going on that long. The 2026 elections might provide some relief— that’s what I’m hoping for. It’s a nightmare scenario, I know 😢
