Hey just throwing it out there: the Doctor Who YouTube channel has been uploading full classic Who stories so if you ever wanted to explore stories from the pre-Ninth Doctor, you should hop on that because there’s some real gems amongst them

Yay! I was watching serials in order for a while but burned out during late Tom Baker. It'll be good to finish the job and get more of Sylvester McCoy. I've liked all the stories I've seen of him
I don't recommend watching everything in order, tbh. You might have a better time if you just watch the stories that seem interesting to you. (I did watch all of the McCoy era in order though and adored it!)
Well unfortunately it's a little late in the process since I got thru the entire Hartnell, Troughton, and Pertwee eras, plus 5.5 seasons of Tom Baker lol. It was a journey but 60s/70s Who was great fun
There’s also a brand new channel set up by the BBC just to show this stuff too. I’m a Third Doctor girl so I highly recommend The Sea Devils and also recommend Invasion of the Dinosaurs if you want to see some goofy cheesy classic Who dinosaur effects
It's still so weird to me how they're doing some uploads on the main channel and others on here.
But both have Spearhead from Space, because everyone needs to watch Spearhead from Space (and then every other 3 story)
Oh how I yearn to be a third doctor girlie... Sarah Jane...Bessie....a million goofy master reveals...so many episodes to actually watch. Unfortunately I've been cursed with being a 2nd doctor fan.
hopefully they're there to stay long-term so i can no longer justify keeping a 300GB folder of every currently existing Doctor Who episode on my external
I'll have to check that out, I haven't seen enough classic Who. And unless you want to bang your head against the wall, don't look up why you can't watch the pilot arc anymore!
I will often just turn on Plex or almost any other free TV streaming service and have old Dr Who or Transformers on in the background while working. :) Keeping the kid in my alive and well fed!
There's also most of the episodes for free on Tubi. They didn't include missing first or second doctor episodes that don't have animations though. Or the moon base for some reason. Still they have most of them and 3rd Doctor onwards is all there.
The An Unearthly Child episodes aren’t lost but IIRC one of the writers for the show claimed full copyright of the episodes and that’s why they’re not on streaming
I had my hopes up for a minute, but it is geolocked, at least for Germany. Maybe they will stick on the Classic Who with German dubbing. Classic German Daleks do not sound as you would expect.

If I cut sleep from all but one day of the week, I think I do!
