Not to be silly or cheesy or whatever but it’s really rewarding to be practicing at art more often and feeling myself getting slowly better and better and better, like idk it’s just nice

I agree! Was “blocked” for a while and just started getting back into it while trying to turn off that inner critic brain. Had a great art session last night and had the best night sleep in a while because of it. I think getting better at our art practice seeps into other parts of our lives too.
Getting back into writing myself, I'm hoping to finally write a full on book, something that I said I wanted to do at my graduation. It's been 12 long years, but I hope this year is the one. Best of luck in your art, your advancement of your craft.
I recently joined an organization that provides free art classes/space for people with different mental illnesses, and it’s one of the best things I’ve done for my mental health!
Isn’t it though. I’ve been leaning hard into music. I have no training or formal education, just years of modeling about, but i feel like I’m actually focused and getting somewhere.
i agree, while not traditional art i've been teachin g myself how to design and laser cut projects, and it feels great every time i have something new that works
Imho not silly or cheesy. Just great adult ownership of your strength and skills. It’s great to be positive, take pride, feel self love, sink into feeling good, great about yourself. TY for posting
