Draw everyday and you will see a difference real quick. I’ve been drawing every day since the middle of December last year when I got back into it. Keep practicing and you’ll reach even higher heights.
Just crazy people will start telling you that you are really skilled--and point to something that is your greatest failure. The more practice you do just increases the amount of lunatics who believe your stuff isn't completely full of flaws and problems =P =P =P
Pro tip. You already are good at it. But you can look forward to expanding your skills and confidence. Never forget that there are no rules and art is whatever you feel it is.
I think I will practice something useful to some other people. Preferably some people I like. Then with the hope, that one day, I should master it sufficient for it to be artist or authentically art I produce.
These? These are tattoos I've done on people. They like them enough to put on their skin, but I'm always perfectionist, and I will never see them as finished or good enough for MYSELF. You could paint a straight line and not be satisfied. It's actually amazing, but you may never see it that way🫤
That pocket watch was the VERY FIRST tattoo I ever did. "Eye of the beholder" as they say. People like them enough to ink them forever, but are they "good"? Don't ever compare yourself to ANYONE. Try drawing the worst thing you can. Look at it and find 1 thing you like. Now everything you do is good
There are two ways to interpret good.
Either you wish to someday be content with your output. Never gonna happen.
Alternatively, you may wish to be accepted and recognised by the established art world. Again, unlikely, unless you have LOTS of cash AND know the right people AND get VERY LUCKY.
Sorry.
That is how one becomes good. Make something, hate it, make it again, still hate, it make it again, think it's okay, make something else, hate it make it again, then again, then again, hate it, make something else, then again, then again, look at the first thing, hate it, make something else-...
I’ve been practicing for close to 40 years now. The key is to NEVER stop practicing. There is always more to learn. Even when you get “good” keep practicing.
