There actually is a way to do multiplayer on 5 with mods but it's a real hassle. And I do agree, but at the same time I don't think we should be stuck remaking 5 forever with fancier graphics. People can still play it and a lot of them do! - ThreadSky

Fair. I think Firaxis just continuously botch the development process by releasing games that are clearly not ready for release out into the wild. Seems like VII could have used another year in development from what I've heard.

I mean yeah, but that's nothing new, 6 had a bunch of problems on launch too and the vanilla version of 5 is awful. I don't wanna excuse Firaxis, they definitely should be doing a better job, but at this point if people don't know Civ games take a couple years to be fully complete, that's on them.

On one hand I want to agree with the criticisms because 7 does have its problems and it's fair enough to warn people so they can hold off on buying it, on the other hand it feels like everyone forgot that every game launches like this. Chill lmao, wait a couple years, get it on sale, you're golden.
