After reading the
https://xen.wiki
page, I think I get it:
1) Take a Just Intonation scale (e.g. 5-limit)
2) Take a Equal Temperament scale (e.g. 31edo)
3) Find the nearest matches of the JI scale notes to the ET notes
4) Only use those near-match notes, and ignore the rest of the ET scale.
