This sums up what I too think the message of the Monopoly money is.

It seems like a reminder of where things are with late stage capitalism where a very few hold all of the money and ability of those at the bottom to survive.
Except, in this case, it isn't a game. It's real life, and people at the bottom are being murdered by greed at the top.
