Hacktivism. Taking it to the streets is so 20th century. One very talented coder in the Noble Opposition can effect tremendous change for the better, than a million people demonstrating.
The answer is in your own link. Except instead of putting protesters and police at risk of deadly violence you concentrate it on the RW-propagandists making millions of dollars a year.
Bonus, no bad blood between citizens and cops.
They want urban protests to clash with police on camera because it makes them more money.

I live in my rural hometown in the TX Panhandle, which is vast, but establishing who's close while retaining anonymity might be a good first step. I dunno, lemme know!
