Can't wait to see this video. He who hesitates is lost! You, I guess all you lost was a bunch of storage space and spare time, but I think you'll enjoy the deep dive into ASL.
That's been my experience with it for the last four years, and I'm really happy I did! Fair warning, it does tend to drown out the rest of one's collection once the obsession takes hold.
I've heard that, yes, but I'm pretty confident I can resist it overwhelming me. There is so much else I want to play as well. :) Interests much wider than time available. We'll see though.
I'm finding a number of historical campaign games in the collection, and yeah, those are really intriguing to me. And thanks for the offer, I've got a couple of things set up for help at the moment, but there's a lot of learning to do as well. I definitely appreciate it!
It's a good intro; thanks for doing it! For a while I thought ASL was going to be "my game" but man, it's just entirely too heavy for me. I'm still on the lookout for a perfect (to me) squad level game. One day!
Well I went from SL to ASL back to SL, then did LnL Tactical. I like LnL in theory and it’s got some nice graphic design on the maps and counters but I’m not super crazy about rules. I like playing on PC where it handles the math and such though. I hear a lot of good about OST though; worth it?
I enjoy both PC games and board games, and can definitely understand why someone would prefer one over the other. I've not played OST yet, I hope to at some point, but so many games, so little time. :)

Good luck.
