Randomly controlled trial with CBT & mindfulness? 🤣🤣🤣
There is so much academic fraud in scientific papers now especially with regard to CBT. Just look up the PACE trial that warranted a UK Parliamentary committee investigation.
While the article takes a different slant, this very much had a "we're not going to bother fixing the problem, so maybe you should stop being so loud when you complain about it" vibe. .
This makes me very nervous. We've seen too much of this in medicine. Doctors forced to work in intolerable conditions, denied the ability to do their job properly. And then, when they crack under the strain, the response is to "help improve their resilience", rather than address the problems.
Yes. Came here to say this. Reformed former resilience/toxic positivity pusher in the education setting. Then you realize people wouldn't need to be so damn resilient if we would just treat them properly.
Or... "Get back to work you lazy bastards, suck it up and get on with it! We weren't soft like you in my day and it didn't do me any harm!"
Maybe changing the extremist behavioural focus of 'educationalists' and focus on teaching children to question not just compliant worker drones might help?

You can shove that #ToxicPositivity up your ass.
“Let’s Make It Better”, not just “It Gets Better.”
Who writes this shit?
