Really isn't hard to believe. I've been waiting to see if the factions in Syria were doing to take advantage of Iran - Hezbollah/Hamas - Israel, and Ukraine. They did, and yeah anyone that's been paying attention to Syria already knew Assad was a flimsy house of cards.
Assad must fall, he cannot be the head of the country and in the case he stays his rule will kill more Syrians. But then who will take power and how long the country will be in ruins because many factions will join the struggle for power. I fear for the minorities
Perhaps for once, in this war-torn area in the Middle East, could there be a beacon of hope with the events playing out in Syria? One thing is certain, Assad has been caught by surprise; the ramifications could be very grim indeed for his regime. I won't be shedding any tears if he is overthrown!
And here we are! May there be a peaceful transition of power in Syria. Surely, this is the very least that the long suffering people of this country can hope for!
