The reporting in the Guardian today leaves far too much to the imagination. By repeatedly mentioning that the perpetrator is Saudi, they are perfectly aware that this will lead to the assumption that this was an attack driven by Islamic extremism, BUT IT WASN'T.
President Musk supports the AfD. The AfD hates Muslim immigrants. But Vice President Trump (and family) are at least $2b in debt to the Saudis. Oh, the dilemma…..
AfD supporter?!! If this is true it proves once again that people have a distorted view of politics. How can a Saudi be a fan of AfD, a party which is against immigrants like him?!!
Yes, Saudi . But far more important is to point out that he is an AfD supporter. Since nationality does not kill. Political opinions is far more likely to do though.
he is my dear, 47000 followers are not little. In the german Twitter people crossed hime numerous times. He is not a guy who wrote a couple of tweets before perpetuating the attack

We are already seeing the false assumptions about him spread. This leads to more Islamophobia and violence against Muslims.
Anti Islam
Anti Communist.
Anti Nazi.
It is pro Israel.

Far-right ties? Ignored.
Critical warnings? Overlooked.
The narrative? Twisted.

OK pal
The world can be a cruel place.
If he is muslim, how long will it be before so called "moderate" Muslims stand up and criticise him?
How long will other far right nutcases stand up and criticise him?
This wasn't a self driving car, a person was behind the wheel. A person's actions did this.
If there was a stabbing would you like media to report that a person stabbed people or that a knife stabbed people?
Accurate reporting is important, removing the person from the situation is a bad idea.
...as usual, LOTS of 'flexibility' in that Ol' Hippocratic Oath, we can assume.
