The future is Farages to claim now. Corruption and lies are the road to be travelled. Kier Starmer you're weak and pathetic to allow Musk to peddle his vile beliefs. Obviously Labour has dodgy overseas money, why else would they not ban overseas money?
The only reason we see his face every 5 mins is too few people saying 'no, this is bullshit' to his multiple QT appearances, constant talking head moments and fawning from the media. This will only embolden him. You can't put this genie back in the bottle.
Labour didn't win the election: the Tories lost it and power fell into Labour's lap, despite their campaign. The fools now think they have magic trousers and can win anything.
Musk doesn’t hold an official government job now nor he will hold one in the future. The only reason he’s involved in US government is because he gave hundreds of millions to Trump’s campaign. Even Trump’s supporters are starting to question this arrangement. They voted for Trump, not Musk.
He is the department of governmental efficiency. He influenced an essential house bill. I think a good lawyer could argue this is a government position in effect.
They are literally calling it DOGE. Congresspeople are referring to it. They are talking about how they want to work with it. They think they have a clever loophole. But if it walks like a duck talks like a duck….
It's time for somebody tr grow a pair and stand up to Musk and his far right pals...we've been down the road of not wanting to upset the far right in the past...look what that lead to
Epic levels of naivety and complacency from the UK government. Protecting our democracy is its #1 duty to the British public, and it a failing that challenge
It’s time for public funding of election campaigns and a complete ban on donations. Then when the Treasury comes looking for cuts they can simply reduce donations.
I can see why there's a fear of looking like shifting the goalposts, and the danger of any block therefore backfiring, but surely most of the country would see this sort of legislation as reasonable, and desirable.
Farmers aren’t being “attacked” though. Paying inheritance tax on a £2million farm isn’t being “attacked”. Closing a loophole that allows millionaires to buy farms to avoid tax is a great idea. Somehow the newspaper owners don’t like it though….. 🤔
That's the real driver behind the reluctance to stop foreign donations to UK politics. Labour MPs are selling the country out for their own enrichment.
Musk has bought the US and WILL buy the UK via Farage who only care about getting rich. In the end, the ultra rich will rule the world and everyone will once again become peasants.

Musk has been acting as a lobbyist for his own interests. He needs to be registered for that.
Because it would stop The Tories too, and everyone else getting dodgy donations.
Which is only a good thing.
Former Labour chair Anneliese Dodds brought it to the attention of he House of Commons in 2022
You'd think they'd learn
Sure buddy.
