Indeed. US companies are legally obliged to do the best for their shareholders, no other stakeholders. They don't have the option to increase expenses without the obligation to do so.

They'd 'touch on the subject' just for window dressing but then tear down any notion of it along the way through courses.
I'm sure they won't increase post 97 benefits ahead of inflation, but you're not reporting on that. Despite it being the same thing; increasing pensions line with inflation
