It's happened in Australia too. Makes you seem less foolish carrying cash.

I’m guessing whenever you see ‘IT glitch’ these days it causes more concern than it may have in the past. What was the glitch, what happened, who/what caused it. Hmmm, I wonder what other recent events may have had ‘glitches’ that we don’t even know about.

No it’s not fixed, and certainly wasn’t 8 hours ago. And it wasn’t a ‘glitch’, it was a major systems failure.
