Do we still use the term illegitimate?
Is it okay to call her a bastard?

You could have just said "daughter", The Guardian.
"Illegitimate" is a classist, unnecessarily moralizing, dehumanizing term.

Absolutely. There should be no moralizing in procreation and parenthood.

Well despite the impolitic use of "illegitimate," I loved the Matisse paintings on exhibit at the same museum in January. I believe they're part of the permanent exhibition.
