Heckling is nearly always just incredibly awkward. No one has paid to come and hear some random try and get a raise out of the performer. It’s embarrassing and immature.
Yep but as any teacher with good classroom management skills (me) knows, don’t make it a power struggle. He should watch George Carlin - he was a master.
I can laugh that off, and enjoy it when it's done well
In the rare circumstances that a kid is repeatedly disturbing the lesson to the point where everyone is losing time, I'll call to have them removed. The time I need to invest into managing that isn't showing respect to the rest of my audience
For me, his argument about it ruining the performance are weakened by the fact he compered a gig my mate did in at uni and torpedoed all the non-famous performers for cheap laughs, and was generally a bit of an obnoxious do-you-know-who-I-am twat.
Speaking of overreactions, writing *two* articles about some dickheads being thrown out. Apparently not wanting your show interrupted ruins his image and means he's nasty now instead of cuddly?
Nothing worse than getting stuck next to a heckler. Never been lucky enough to get tickets for Kay so would be fuming if it was for someone like him who you know you might never get to see again! Don't blame him for throwing them out. Go see a turn at the club if you want to heckle.
Good on him. People are losing all sense of decorum in public spaces like theatres and cinemas. It’s utterly selfish. Everyone else there has paid their hard earned cash to be there too and enjoy the act / film they’ve gone to see not some clowns that think they are part of it
