Look, it’s fine for people to think that cash isa and stocks & shares isa is a proportionate way for UK treasury to spend £7billion a year. But I’m just not a fan.
Oh FFS, another attack on the squeezed middle who already bear a disproportionate tax burden, just making it even more difficult to save for retirement.
What will it take to make govts fairly tax the truly wealthy?
People always love other people's money - to steal or to give it to friends.
Never had or will have own earned money - too lazy and stupid.
So go to the government.
But can't complain about it - they voted for that.
Maybe prioritise the people who bank offshore and get away with paying little or no tax at all? And maybe address the UK’s reputation as the biggest money laundering operation in the developed world? (Might offend the Russians and Arabs though…)
