Welcome to 1953: Fahrenheit 451 is a 1953 dystopian novel by American writer Ray Bradbury. It presents a future American society where books have been outlawed and "firemen" burn any that are found.
Goofy. As a red-headed kid who was teased incessantly about it and my freckles, Judy Blume's Freckleface helped me feel normal and appreciate them as a kid.
Banning freckles? I believe that kids need to explore the world through books. Books like Julianne Moore’s Freckleface Strawberry help kids with freckles feel good about themselves. Kids deal with bullying, and it scars them for a lifetime! Please just let kids be kids!
Not one word about how the new "anti-woke" here in USA is saying that "empathy is a sin"? And "nothing matters but power"? Time to stop sugar coating the facism.
Either there is a diverse side-character in the book that isn't being discussed, or they simply don't want to encourage female children to love themselves and the qualities that make them individuals.
"DEI crackdown" is a poor choice of phrasing a headline, but maybe it's the only way your permitted. A better one would be, "The dawn of the American Night of the Long Knives begins with DEI." Get ready, Great Britain; you're more strategic than Greenland.🍸🧐🚬
Snag is that most of MAGA are so badly read that they will not have heard about the Nazi book burning !
As Fletch’s mate in Porridge said .”I had a book once , green it was ! “
Presumably this is why Trump is destroying the education system in the USA .
Comments
Trump hates the Scots
But books are bad now ffs.
They just just return to book burning and get it out in the open that much of the country are in favours of what he is doing.
It also feels like the ones getting very vocal about it are the ones now directly affected by his commandments to excise federal agencies or people.
No cheaper food yet.

It's funny apparently.
All the benefits of being marginalized while being called "white".
