It's weird to see how many people defend it as funny and completely disregard her feelings. Her opinion is valid, as it was about her. I don't think many people would be comfortable having their appearance mocked like this.
That poor woman! I don’t approve of what she did - but the details never had to be made public and the relentless bullying that followed was so terrible.
Not officially proven but it’s been hinted that the Ken Starr Report (first time I’ve ever not used profanity in discussing it) had a designated “leaker” who kept the press up-to-date (and misled) and that was a young Brian Kavanaugh.
Aimee is so confident and charming. People mocking her for not being a carbon copy of everyone else are insecure. Glad SNL apologised, it was was such a boring, outdated and lazy effort.
She looks fine and what's better, she appears to be an interesting young woman. The obsession with orthodontics is unhealthy. Unless you've a medical condition, you don't need braces and/or cosmetic dentistry.
I've never really liked the humor on SNL, but It seems the Trump era is spreading snowflakery fast and wide: is this the first Brit I encounter without a sense of self-deprecation and who doesn't take a joke as an opportunity to push the fun further?
This was our reaction as well; we loved it except for that part, which was jarring -- completely uncalled for and out of step with the whole piece. It's unfunny to the point of cringe, and it brought the whole sketch down.
I think she's adorable! Leave this poor woman alone. For God's sakes! She's a wonderful actress. Did you see her in the one about the toxic chemical plant in the UK? Fabulous! Love you Aimee Lou! You keep doing you! #aimeelouwood #whitelotus
The SNL comedian looked exactly like her in the sketch. I don’t get how that’s cruel if you look just like someone. Her fake teeth weren’t even as pronounced as the actual ones.
She is very pretty, different from the norm, but pretty still. I hope she knows that and doesn’t attempt to change her appearance to some generic accepted beauty norm.
They do this to every celebrity since it's founding. I don't understand why she is reacting this way. It's a comedy show they are not being mean spirited their comedians. I'll never understand why people today are so overly emotional about everything. Most celebrities don't react this way.
The American obsession with looking artificial and plastic means anyone who doesn't conform to that dull ideal is a target. I think the downfall of such a shallow culture is in everyone's interests.
LoL. Oh well : trying to the cancel it then. Maybe excaggerating a bit isn't hysterical. Removing fluoride out of drinking water because some derailed conspiracy folks believe in bullshit snake oil science is. And all that because some charlatans were trying to sell more waterpurifiers 20 years go.
The issue with the sketch was that every single other person was a satirical take on a specific political figure, and hers was not. It was actually making fun of *her,* not a character. It was lazy writing for no reason other than to comment on her appearance. Hope they’ll learn from this.
Nobody would make such a pathetic tied joke about the Welsh on a TV primetime comedy and expect to still have a career.
It's the kind of rubbish relegated to morons on the football terrace (as a Newport County fan it's something I hear a lot).
Relax Francis. It’s an over the top characterization of the actress, (what she is known for and made her initially famous by the way), and it’s funny. Thank God for her teeth or she might not have been famous and we wouldn’t know how spectacular she is as an actress and a person.

Sounds like bollocks to me
