Yeah i got that itch and tbh Max Payne 3 has depressed me beyond belief at how much it missed the mark so I really need another Remedy game to get the bad taste out of my mouth 😭

Im a senior gamer who has never gamed in her life! Grandboys drug me into it and it got under my skin! Not very good but cant quit LOL Have to focus on one to be half good but they play w/me so treasure our time together #Fortnite
Glad it's not just me. I bought a brand new gaming laptop a few months ago. After benchmarking it with some new games, I've basically been using it to play New Vegas and Saint's Row 3 lol
Okay so let's say there's a game you played on 360/XONE that looked like ass but you have the same game NOW on Steam Deck and it looks and runs way better cos it's the PC version

I am beginning to think early access means me playing a new game every week before the next big update and then going back to a game I love to hate that I already sunk 4k hours into.
I have a full on sim rig, with multiple recently purchased sim racing titles, and yet most of my time lately has been spent re-learning how to play The Division 2 after being away from it for 2 years.

I occasionally start something new and after a short time realise - the time I spend learning all these game mechanics will be wasted when in a weeks time I stop playing and revert to type
Whenever I chat with my students about gaming, I get someone telling me they got a great new game that took them almost a month to beat. I ask, "Why would you want a game you can only enjoy for a month?" Crickets.
And that game is either No Man's Sky or Warframe because their devs have been faithfully providing new content since they both came out and not charging their players another dime for it (and Warframe started off being free)
Being an adult gamer is having an endless catalog of new and old games to play, but having very little time to actually play limits you to the games you already know.

It's really easy just to appeal to comfort and play what you like. I feel like I can't trust new games as much as I once did, a lot of the quality and originality just isn't there.

I told myself that this year I would be playing older classic games I've never played before, and 2 weeks later I started New Game Plus in Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth.
ARGHHH!! This 1000x. I have managed to break out of the cycle a bit with Outlaws and Sackboy and Astro Bot and Space Marine 2, but BOY do I love going back to Assassins Creed and RDR2, TLOU1+2 and Forza 5.

Idk why, but I have to replay play Pikmin every spring like it's a law of nature.
There are more games out there than i have time. There is always another ten or so 8+ games out there for me to catch up on.
Missed a lot of Gen 8 due to being dirt poor during that time.
