I know. I am one of the users in other countries. And blocking Musk on Twitter (whoops) in order to cancel out his annoying noise didn’t work. Musk drives not only US citizens away from his filthy platform.
Then again, you are right: BlueSky needs to offer services which give them a revenue. That of course requires marketing. They’ll need to pay the salaries of a big team for @moderation.bsky.app to begin with.

I would assume not. I got fed up with all the aggression and no matter how aggressive people were they were never blocked. It was a horrible place when it became X.
I’m a little embarrassed to say that hubby got Starlink and I’m glad. We were sailing 30 mi offshore in 40 mph gusts and 6-8 ft seas when we noticed our rudder system was breaking. We were able to call ahead for slip, tow, repair. Just bought a cabin in the woods and will use it for internet there.
It’s very portable and somewhat inexpensive. Though we had to increase our premium to get coverage 30 mi offshore. First time we didn’t bother and friends following us with AIS called USCG fearing the worst. We were fine just out too far for AIS coverage. Glad our friends checked.
