Attended a big German birthday dinner last night. They served goose…and one of the gravies was an actually just bacon bits which were supposed to be sprinkled on top. A little horrified, but impressed with the commitment

I think there is a way to cook it wrapped in bacon in the oven so it doesn’t dry out. My mum does it like that with deer meat. She doesn’t want to throw the bacon out afterwards, so she puts it on the table as well. Perhaps sth like that?
