Hi All, Just sent out a piece about a great failure of strategic leadership. European leaders failed to see Trump for what he is, but instead tried to make him what they wanted him to be. On reflection, did World War Two ever actually end?

The USSR first allied with Nazi Germany, then switched to the Allies after it was attacked, the Allies allowed the USSR to annex Eastern Europe as payment for finishing off the Germans (it was months before the USSR allowed us in to Berlin) ⏩

Thinking of the smug line of reasoning that Europe needn't be too worried because Russia's only taken part of Ukraine in 3 years when a) the Ukrainians know what Russia is (much of Europe doesn't), b) Ukrainians are tough as nails, & c) it's taken huge loss of life to get this far.

As @johanno1.bsky.social has been writing in his updates. We shall be grateful to Ukraine and it’s soldiers for stopping. It is fortunate for the EU and the rest of Europe that they chose to attack Ukraine, which has actually shown itself to have both the will and the ability to stop the Muscovites.
