The important thing to understand about the Trump administration is that it is always lying. It isn't simply indifferent to the truth; it has contempt for it and for those who tell it. This must be broadly understood.

When they broaden their attacks and further infringe upon people's rights, many will quibble over the details. They will focus on the innocence or guilt of protesters targeted by the administration, for example. But the administration is not bound by laws, facts, or reality. You see the problem?
This administration is illegitimate. It is not bound by the law. Those who defy its violence will sometimes have to break the law. Sometimes, they will be falsely accused. The administration will try to conjure boogeymen to justify their actions when, in reality, the boogeymen are in the White House
When this administration seeks to criminalize people, they should never be met with belief. When lawless people raise grievances about criminality, they should be mocked.
“I insist on being shocked. I am never going to become immune. I think that’s a kind of failure to see so much of it that you die inside. I want to be surprised and shocked every time.”

It’s classic manipulation! Then they will hold the one thing that u messed up on over you to discredit anything u say and say ur just as bad if not worse.
This is why it blows my mind that anyone--Democrats, other countries, anyone--would even bother with negotiations right from the time Trump took office.
Everything that isn't about dismantling this administration should be about working around it and isolating it.
You read Timothy Snyder's "decapitation strike" essay, right? Deliberate flouting of rules and norms is their goal because they want to replace a law-based society with a fealty-based society.
Russians, a whole nation of cheats & scoundrels, often joke about the stupidity of people who play by the rules and use norms to guide behavior. That’s why their economy is crap with just a superficial glitz.
That’s what the Trumpists want: a nation of cheats with a trickle-down tax of corruption.
