A science brain drain is exactly what the US does not need at this time in history Of course most MAGAs have been scared of science courses, so have no clue of implication of loss of funding and science PhD candidates
US scientists left for Canada in the 1960's settling in places like Regina where they changed the future. This will happen again elsewhere. Europe, Canada, the UK, all offer opportunities. But, they do not offer the same freedom of entrepreneurship and do not want our middle-aged PhDs.
