Professor Alexis Jay, who led a 7-year review of sexual abuse which reported in 2022, says starting a new inquiry would delay any implementation of her own recommendations:

what is actually known about this? Because the fact that most victims are white does not mean that is the reason they were the target. Example, with grooming the victims are typically picked based on vulnerability, the easier targets are the ones less monitored. And there are more criteria.
You know what changed it? Pakistani men are sitting in jail serving time for treating women like shit. Prosecuted by a Pakistani Muslim Nazir Afzal too.
Can you recommend what feminist laws we should enact to empower women to jail rapist men? I’m waiting.
1. Rubbish. Only happened after the furore caused by the Times article. As a face save.
2. It's much worse than the jailed Pakistani Muslims. It's much widespread and not dealt with fully.
3. Simple, deport all Pakistani Muslims. Especially since they love joining ISIS.
Wait so if I give you a choice of empowering white women against ALL men you would rather choose to deport guilty and innocent Pakistani men? Is that correct?
Also you implying English police and judges also need to be jailed for failure? Since they said case was closed after jail time.
Her seething seemed only matched by her respect of not allowing that to also obfuscate the matter in hand... time to implement her report's recommendations, from 2022.
If only Jenrick, Farage et al had an ounce of her respect for the victims.
A moment of self-reflection by Jenrick is noteworthy. Is someone brave enough to suggest to the frumious Badenoch she might usefully employ this herself, before launching another ill-advised & intemperate attack on Starmer at PMQs. On anyone for that matter.
What’s the betting that neither Jenrick nor Badenoch could find either Rochdale or Oldham on a map? But they are very, very incensed about child grooming.
If you listen to people dredging it up what they really want is to be given free rein to hurt Pakistani’s. Not a single recommendation on how to empower young girls to fight back. How to allow more rape convictions. How to jail more abusive men. They don’t want systemic change. Just pain.
A Government funded group for Victims Support ( as in all kinds) would be immediately effective as a first step then put those recommendations into effect.
Prof Jay is far more knowledgeable than Farage, Musk and Jenrick combined. Anyone who thinks they care for anything beyond self-promotion is deluded and/or stupid
Instead of politicising the issue and demanding a new inquiry which will take forever why don’t we prioritise setting up of task force and legislate those recommendations and based on evidence prosecute retrospectively and go from there? Conservatives had the chance to amend terms of reference and
What does she know? The Tory Party is being controlled by the all knowing Musk! Tory MPs have hit an all time low and the funny thing is they have no idea! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stinks of kicking the can down the road long enough for it to be declared 'no longer in the public interest' and 'now a historic matter beyond the original enquiries remit' or some such governmental jargon for 'we didn't want to do anything anyway and now we can't, for reasons'.
Politicizing the victimization of kids is shameless. Everyone has a part to play and could help protect kids locally (say by improving social media platforms they own) but instead the global voices pointing fingers are using kids’ harm to slam politicians. They’re not doing it to help kids.
I felt @vicderbyshire.bsky.social went WAY too hard on Kinnock last night. She ignored that Parliament has been in recess for 3 weeks, and keeping asking "why now, why today..." gave M*sk more power and more fuel.
Come on liberals - we can't deplore the treatment of women in places like Afghanistan and Iraq and then cry "racism" when the same things are said about grooming gangs in Rochdale and Rotherham.
Because the things that are said about "grooming gangs" are only said about them because they apparently targeted white women and girls. There is a link, obviously - that of misogyny. But then that is not confined to Muslim men.
I'm pathologically argumentative so I spend a lot of words dissing Reformers, Tory apologists & others. The rugby stuff is quite good, just waiting for it to move over here...
Her inquiry (which she only led for 5/7 years) hardly dealt with issues that people now want investigated
There is no reason why her recommendations cannot be implemented “at pace”, and the separate inquiry called for by the grooming, rape-gang survivors be constituted.
Any separate inquiry will be limited by the same problems, e.g. lack of data, until the data collection is fixed and time has passed to collect said data. That said, other aspects, e.g. potential cover ups, could be part of a new inquiry.
Once again Tory inaction. Now trying to start an unnecessary storm for political purposes. Think of the victims and work together implementing what is already known.
Is the issue that white abusers were prosecuted but asian abusers were not for fear of being accused of racism? Gen Q.
If that was/is the case then police/CPS have questions to answer. What did Jays report say about it? All abusers should be before a judge & jury.
I think the point - which has been largely ignored in the frenzy - is that eventually the abusers did (mostly) get prosecuted and end up behind bars, the problem was that the police and councils didn't act fast enough for many years
This appears to assume that those gangs have been largely broken up and no longer operate as they used to. Which we must all hope is true, but may not be.
Exactly the responsible authorities it would seem were more concerned with perceptions of others than implementing the law swiftly.
They should all be named & brought to account publicly for their inaction.
Smh so much credible evidence was presented at the Jay Inquiry. Apologies mean nothing without action especially from police forces who were complicit by their inaction in case, after case, after case.
"It would certainly cause delays."

This is the Islamic agenda for eons. It's preached at every mosque each Friday and practiced by everyone of these guys from ISIS to your neighbor.

None of this changes the fact that the criminals are Pakistani Muslims men who believe that non Muslim women are chattel
2. Epstein is every country and part of political landscape but nothing as widespread or as full of hatred as Pakistani Muslims for non Muslim
3. Doesn't matter, because we have to deal with all these guys. Can't give a pass to any.
The Pakistani Muslims problem is bigger and must be addressed
Muslims are 4% of the population they're 18% of incarcerated criminals mostly for sexual.
That's 9x higher than average.
Also MAGA aren't dictated by their religion.
Maybe, if Huw Edward’s had been imprisoned along the young man who supplied the material…
In my humble opinion it's best to just walk away from the platform. It's a weapon and not social in any way.

Why are the Tories enabling pedophiles ?
