Gilt yields are serious but not the main problem. The main problem is stagflation ie. no growth and inflation. It is hideous for the lower paid especially. Reeves et al talked the economy down and scaremongered (then delivered) a brutal budget that crushed business confidence. Truss didn't do that.

Interesting but I don’t think bond yields are rising and Sterling is falling because of fiscal rules. While the $ is strong because US rates are going to stay higher for longer, the UK is getting it worse than any other advanced economy.
Stagflation and a government that’s adrift play their part.
