Are parents and offspring similar in their personality? How far does the apple fall from the tree? We found the error-free parent-offspring correlation to be bigger than before (r=.30 vs r=.11)!

Personality traits and life satisfaction are more heritable than people typically say—if we don't confuse constructs with their imperfect measures. Additive genetic transmission 40%+ (our findings), total about 60% - 80% (elsewhere).
