There's definitely some oddness about bluesky's adaptive quality playback on videos!

Yeah it sucks and unfortunately seems to be 'by design' (for now).

"After 9 seconds, the resolution automatically increases to something close to the original (with compression of course). If the video is shorter than 9 seconds, it will be shown entirely in low resolution"
