I love this footnote by Le Guin, chapter 16, Tao Te Ching (Le Guin) :

"To those who will not admit morality without a deity to validate it, or spirituality of which man is not the measure..."

It took me a while to understand that and the only way I understood it is when I caught myself doing it. ❤️
