If you're really asking? Check out what they think about other things and people. Odds are extremely good. They'll think some of the worst things are good. And the most messed up people the best. It won't be consistent either. lol
i think it's normal to think about how others view your work. It's just a matter of not letting it consume you too much. By the end of it all someone would love it still and some would hate it, it's just how things are.
Franky it's fucking hard. We're artists, so in some way, shape, or form, we rely on ppls options of our art to be successful. It's about taking the bad ones, deciding if it's just hate or constructive criticism, which is an important thing as an artist to learn from, and learning from it if it is.
Everytime someone says something about your art that you don't feel comfortable with change this thought with how much fun and pleasure you had while doing the art 🎨
(1) Get older.
(2) Realize that the opinions of the vast majority of people are completely irrelevant to my wellbeing.
(3) As a corollary of (2), only care about their opinion of my work as long as they're paying me, and then only if they're not a moron.
there will always be people who won’t like your art, no matter how beautiful or inspired. You can put in every once of effort and someone will still not appreciate it
However, the more you personally enjoy making it, the more likely others will follow
The thing is that we thing like this in a unconcipus way...
Unfortunatly theres no way to control how The thing will come trought us, but you can always remeber why you like to make your stuff or why you're making it. When you realize it again and again, you'll manage to find your self power to+
Keep going, cuz maikng something for a purpouse, even this being just for fun or for someyhing bigger, is always Better to just talk about about the stuff from the others like those people has done with you.
You enjoyed making it, yeah? Nothing else matters. Anyone who doesn't like your art or insults your work just doesn't get it. No matter how much they may say they do or then argue, "I don't need to understand" because that just proves the point. Also, try spitting on people more. "This is dumb"💦💦💦💦
I'm not sure it's a matter of having to "convince" ourselves, but rather just accepting that it's a fact. And if I need to set a bar, I set it at "if it touches 1 person, truly that's success." Easier said than done ofc, but in the meantime, make art anyways. 🤗
Remind yourself that ultimately, *nothing* has an intrinsic meaning. It has only what meaning you choose to ascribe to it. So why not make meaningful the things useful for a good and happy life worth living? Is caring about other people's opinions useful to that goal? If so, do it. If not, don't.
social media being reliant on likes and numbers doesn't help much tbh.
but when you make art, you are putting your thoughts onto canvas with your skill. you are creating! the ability to create itself is a gift worth celebrating. create to your heart's content.
i got there by making stuff that is not interesting and also refusing to do the base amount of engagement farming, ensuring that my creations will go largely unnoticed for the rest of my life - with no audience to cater to, my will is law! in the video realms
Why do you make your art? If it is your profession as well as your passion you have to care what your customers want. Otherwise it is solely your decision and nobody else's opinion matters. Love what you do, do what you love.

And you say that to yourself every day until it is boring and routine.
Because it's true.

Rich? Imagine them poor.
Hot? Imagine them ugly.
Popular? Imagine them lonely.
Seeing how they'd be when powerless reminds me they're human just like me.
Always works.
