it didn't i felt disappointed. I am thinking the stuff DOGE has been doing is trying to bury the fact we are boycotting. I am waiting to see if the media connects the dots to the boycott and loss of revenue.
Also, I haven’t done any digging, but I don’t recall seeing any news stories of how the last Blackout affected the economy and big businesses. Did anyone see any reports?
If you do spend it right. The small places. You know the cozy ones. I got this great little Mexican restaurant, right next to a poke and pho place where the people are just the sweetest and hardest working. Don’t worry about the Language barrier food can make everyone understand each other.
I'm *insanely* lucky to have a local brewery, a local grocery who works exclusively with co-ops and local farmers, a local coffee place, and an independent theater, all in walking distance. I can go weeks, possibly months without giving money to a major corporation! It's fantastic!!
I got several international grocery stores close by. My biggest big store expense is Costco and they do better than most. I wouldn’t call it luck you just picked the right area and wasn’t afraid of what’s around you.
I lived in the south for a long time. I just can’t get over ice tea it’s just so imbedded as a southern thing for me. But when my daughter wants it I get it no problem.
