Then again the idea of paying possible 30-40 mill for Diaz and Scott to be our guys to shut out the last innings every game I don’t think is a wise investment when we could be spending that on good position players and seeing that they haven’t really spend much on starters I don’t see them doing it - ThreadSky

Steve Cohen has made billions of dollars since purchasing the Mets. The idea of paying possibly 130-140m for a bullpen may seem like a wise investment to him.

True he has made billions since buying the team but his goal has always been to make this team a sustainable contender in the near and long term. Scott is a tremendous talent no denying that, but paying market value or higher defeats the purpose of having stearns especially for a reliever

Yeah the bullpen was not great and we kept walking everyone especially early in the season but I think the future for that is converting Tylor into that high leverage arm like his brother since he got the stuff but can’t go for length and we got the depth for that now
