How would Nintendo (or the game industry) be different if the N64 was a CD based system?
We'll never know.
Nintendo prob just thought it wasnt viable
But, I liked just putting a game in and switching it. I’m glad Super Mario 64 doesn’t have loading screens.
And they somehow STILL don't 💀
It must be a matter of cost-effective storage mediums that made them move back to carts.
