I would much rather have a remake in the visual style of a modern Dragon Quest game, which really lets Toriyama's character designs shine, rather than just HD-2D. If ever there was a classic/2D Square game to give a big budget remake to, Chrono Trigger is most deserving!

My two cents in release it on modern consoles as is with the DS content that ties it into chrono cross. I wouldn’t flip any tables over a style change, but I think visually it’s perfect as is.
