Agree with this, but another interesting thing for me is how people in these organisations are clearly aware that this is not about "creating a meritocracy", it's very much about signalling white supremacy.

The most important detail for me is that it took *very few* people with personal ties to the org showing up in person to complain to have the obeying in advance reversed.
