Sam likely borrowed from the title of Nick Bostrom's holy grail literature on the threats of AI. Ironically, Bostrom's "Superintelligence" warned of humanity's existential risks. Nick was more pessimistic than Sam & Mark Tedmark (authored Life 3.0) foreboding of bad actors wielding AI w/o oversight.

Absolutely. They dislike each other very intensely, too. Like Musk with his grandiose bullshit, notice how Altman effortlessly slides past regular AGI (which they have not and will not deliver) to muse on this Superintelligence fantasy. Like Tesla, it's all about keeping the company valuation up.

AI is a bubble. They all get billions in Market Cap with little revenue to justify their valuation.
