It truly pisses me off when people talk about independent wrestling purely as “stars of the future” or “see em before they’re on TV”
Independent wrestling is not the discount version of pro wrestling. It is often times the HEART AND SOUL of pro wrestling.
And it’s fun af 💁🏻♀️

The feeling of watching Ospreay spend two years chase that title and everything that happened in the Ballroom was indescribable. I don't think anything could beat that again.
*Side of wrestling
*When a company
*Their own concepts
"Don't you want to work in New Japan someday?"
"Actually I want a comfortable life in a nice house in the Tokyo suburbs. And, I want to wrestle for the fun of it. Those are not mutually possible."
Like amazing doctors MUST be Surgeon General to be respected...
To those people, wrestling is pass/fail. Those that get to a WWE or AEW and make 6+ figures are worth acknowledgement. Everyone else isn't. It's stupid and narrow.
If you offered me front row tickets to WrestleMania I still wouldn’t swap. Indie wrestling fucking rules
You can go see a maintstream band play in a giant arena with thousands of other people.
You can also go down to the local venue and see an amazing band that will never have a mainstream hit with like a hundred people. It's more intimate and more real.
It's just different.
Wrestlers could barely use the top rope and just had to focused it out. It was glorious.
It was amazing though. More of that please!
Indie stuff is about doing what it takes to make your art without having major funding. That's not what Lucha Underground was about.
Also, a bunch of those wrestlers were signed to AAA and lent to LU as part of the television deal.
Keep grinning Veda. Appreciate the hustle, of you, and your Independent colleagues!
Speaking of which, I can't thank you enough for taking this Polaroid with me at the Midwest All-Star Wrestling Women of Nations Grand Slam VI event this past October!
As much as watching people grow as wrestlers is a part of it, it's so much more.
After seeing your post here I decided to seek out local events. So me and the kids went to see Primo Pro Wrestling here in Denver. We are definitely going again.
