In case you're not familiar with us, Slipshine is an adult comic publisher. Originally founded by creator/artist/bunny @jaqqqln.gay, it opened in 2001 with the singular goal of paying people to make good, original illustrated smut. And we’ve done so for over 23 years now and going!

I was a fan of Slipshine before I was hired as a writer, then editor, assistant, and eventually manager. I've always loved this site. It was a beacon to me - where adult comics didn't just exist but FLOURISHED, going hundreds if not thousands of pages long, getting the chance to evolve and explore!

We've kept that tradition alive, bringing in new artists from all over the world to make their own unique, ambitious erotica. We're now at over 100 series and 23,000 pages, with updates every single day. And I couldn't be more proud to oversee this wonderful site.

And I want it to go even further.

But we need your support.

Slipshine is a VERY small company. Besides myself, we only have 2 other part-time editors and one site tech on staff. 10 artists make pages on the regular along with a handful of seasonal artists, being paid $130 per page. I want to pay them more, but our budget is maxed.

Slipshine is entirely dependent on the incredible generosity of its subscribers. We do not run ads, we do not have investors, and we currently do not have the funds to advertise ourselves or sell merch. This is our only revenue source. If Slipshine wants to grow, then it needs subscribers.

In addition to paying more artists more money, your subscription will allow us to further renovate the website's design. We have finally been able to push out a redesign of our front page, but the comic reader is still woefully out of date. More money means more hours we can spend to enhance it.

I stopped supporting Slipshine's work when I found out about the predatory legal practices used to oust Jaqi from her own website.

I'm also concerned about affiliation with Hiveworks after their recent mishandling of Meg Syv's offboarding.

How can we trust that these abuses won't repeat?

While Slipshine and Hiveworks are owned by the same person, Slipshine operates independently of Hiveworks and is now under an entirely new management team of former/current Slipshine artists as of 5 months ago. We can't right every past wrong, but we're trying to make amends as best we can.
