In a weird way it still kinda was. But Blue was not part of John Blanche regular colour palate as the ink fades too fast so in the spirit of old ink works, he didn't usually use it.
Aside: I then went on to paint one as an Anvil of the Heldenhammer, my host of choice.
I really dig the contrast+zenithal as far as normie painting goes!
There was something cathartic about leaning on my traditional art skills, looking at reference, determining color and applying with less focus on precision and more on overarching feel.
