Pupdate: the news isn't good, but not even news. A fine needle aspiration showed no mast cells, thankfully, but it was also "inconclusive." Could be a very bad infection, but that is probably concurrent with something worse. Care, rest, antibiotic, Benadryl. Second opinion next Wednesday. Poor girl.
