Sewing tiny skirts 1,000x a day, painting eyeballs on Barbies, attaching little limbs to little plastic bodies — @gregsargent.bsky.social goes deep on doll-making and concludes it is "brutal, poorly paid factory work" far removed from the jobs Trump has promised. https://newrepublic.com/article/194938/trump-dolls-weird-tariffs-scarcity?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=tnr_daily

My guess is that you’ve never done a day of brutal work in your life.
We in the US have gotten to ignore that we outsource our worst tasks to other people because they're willing to take a pittance so we save a few bucks.
We don't need as much crap as we have, & we shouldn't put people through hell to make it. So either get the robots going, or we learn to live with less stuff but more dignity.
Yet what are Democrats doing in response? Absolutely nothing far as I can tell - and I consume a lot more political media than anyone should.
Must dump Schumer and Jeffries.
There is no national platform that has any interest in allowing Democratic leadership equal time ever again
