Does anyone I know have experience with Azure Container Instances and, more specifically (and way more boring), how the pricing works? The documentation gives examples of containers running for 5 minutes... which is stupid... I have a use case and want to kick the tires if the price is right. - ThreadSky

Billing is more or less static since it does not scale to zero. So not much different from a small VM in my experience.

Depending on your usecase I would consider Container Apps. More batteries included, better scaling up and down and with a more usage based billing.

I'm more after "Real world examples". The pricing calculator is fine, I've reviewed that previously. But I'm after "Yeah, we used it and it cost us X for a deployment of Y containers with Z vCPU". What are the hidden "gotchas" etc.

Y'know - to start a convo about a somewhat under-used resource!
