1. if you’ve followed me for more than a minute, you know i’m gonna say: “is this the place for me?” is at least as important as, “am i the person for them?”

that doesn’t mean lower your expectations. it means where do you *want* to start an amazing journey?

2. your application is the SKELETON ARGUMENT for YOUR OWN AWESOME SELF. that means:

- concise, structured, proof-read, evidenced submissions, addressing the selection criteria.

- be the best presented version of you, but be you.

3. relevant experience doesn’t have to be legal experience. look to memorable work/life situations evidencing MOTIVATION, COMMITMENT, SKILLS. like when you saved Christmas by persuading your manager to buy in turkeys.

NB answer the q- what motivates you is not the same as what skills you have!

4. provide tangible examples - don’t say you’re a conscientious baker & everyone thinks your cakes are generically moist & delicious. explain the reason your sponge is so fluffy is because you whisked it for 45minutes. by hand. with the antique whisk from your grandmother.

5. "why us?" shouldn't induce🤢if you paid attention to 1. the internet provides a wealth of information (news & events, members’ achievements, wellbeing & diversity policies, internal training) that reveals the culture & personality of chambers. research. be interested.
