feeling very weird about that untimely compilation at the end of the SNL 50th show but I’m going to try to process it as a self-aware apology for wrongdoing and not an act of tone-deaf stupidity

I'm trying to see it as kinda atonement sense, like looking back they had bad moments and not perfect but just the history of it all now is crazy. But I understand in these times
I noticed that, while his name was mentioned a couple times during the show, Chevy Chase had no part in the special and wasn't shown on camera as an audience member. I honestly wondered if ending that compilation with him was *pointed*, considering what we know of his character IRL.
