@velshi.bsky.social was discussing this earlier today. #CFPB has returned $20 billion total dollars in junk fees, excessive overdraft fees, etc. to consumers. I was part of the class action lawsuit against #WellsFargo because they switched my savings account to a checking account w/o my permission.

Wow, so many others are also speaking out on blogs about the amazing work #CFPB has done protecting consumers. Thank you for your testimonial. The agency has broad popular acceptance and there is NO public mandate to shut it down. This is extremely crazy what the GOP is doing.

I’m one of those people who understands how beneficial this agency is to consumers. My father worked in the foreclosure business for 50 years. He knew the housing bubble would burst and burst big. It’s because of him that I made sure to get a 30 year fixed mortgage. I read the fine print now.
